I'm actually considering getting one. I'm a college student and I think it would be amazing to have my textbooks on one device. Especially since the DX supports PDFs now. Amazon's proprietary format was always the one thing keeping me from really wanting one. Does anyone have a current gen kindle? Thoughts? Praises? Flames?

I don't understand the appeal of eBooks. They're just like a regular book... except not as easy to page through, harder to take notes in, can't be used as places to stick pieces of paper I want to forget about, and aren't in color.
