When I use the Sling app on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), the CPU goes through the roof. The battery charger can barely keep up with the power drain from that application.

The video quality is exceptional, but at a cost. Is this normal?

It doesn't sound like it should be normal. I use streamers like Plex, etc. And they require some memory and cpu/gpu power, but nothing more than iMsg or Skype would.

Is there a Sling support forum? That might be a better place to ask since it may be something specific to the Sling app.
