slingbox vs. eyetv???? suggestions...

I'm trying to figure out what kind of connection I want for my tv to my computer. Wondering if you all could help me out on this.
All I want to be able to do is watch tv via my computer when I'm home or away on business. At home I will be watching not be plugging in via an ethernet cord but rather I have a wireless router...supposedly I have to bridge the connections...don't really know what that means, but i'm sure i'll find out. Let me know what your suggestions are...please.

i would go for the slingbox myself

The slingbox works great on my mb -- video is very smooth -- but you cannot record the video from slingbox (at least, not without 3rd party software).

EyeTV is mainly for watching at home, via your home computer. Slingbox for away from home, home computer doesn't matter. I think you want Slingbox.
