After hearing that 3.0 introduces new video streaming API's, I was wondering if that means that the Slingplayer client will require 3.0. Obviously I would think that Sling would want to take advantage of the new features, but unfortunately that also means potentially more waiting...

i don't think it requires it, they promised us a version by then end of this quarter (which is pretty soon). But i do think they'll be able to take advantage of 3.0 very well.

They said it would be submitted by the end of the first quarter. I'm not so sure it will be approved. If they won't let an app like March Madness that will only be good for 3 weeks run on 3G, I'm not confident Sling will.

Only time will tell.

sure, but i can't imagine a company like that, getting into this big project without talking to apple about things first. A lot of dev hours went into it I'm sure.
