Hi I dont know if this has been present on previous models but I just noticed that the 2012 MBA has "slits" on the bottom-sideish on each side. What are these skits? Sorry if this is dumb but are they the air intakes similar to what the retina MBP has? (Though they may be kinda small lmao) correct me if im mistaken please. Image is attached.

You mean the little hole looking thing about mid way down the bottom side of the chassis? If so, they aren't slits..they're the screws that hold the bottom plate on. I'm typing on one, and I just had to check, since your picture did make it look like some kind of hole lol.
