Slow Accessing Files on One Mac Only

I have a Powerbook and an iMac G4 connected via a wirleess network. Connection to the Internet is fast on both macs. Access to the Powerbook HD is fast from the iMac but accessing files on the iMac from the Powerbook is sooooo slow. It used to be really fast. I just get that annoying spinning psychadelic ball now. Any ideas? :confused: Thanks.
