Hello,
I have an iMac & a MacBook Pro, but all of my music and videos are on my iMac's hard drive, and I like watching movies on my MacBook Pro..
So I turned on the AFP file sharing on the iMac, and connected to it through "Connect to Server" in the finder..
The copying speed is quite good "3-5 MB for the WiFi, 10-12 for ethernet"..

THE PROBLEM:
is that when i go the and play a video on my MacBook Pro "as a client of the iMac", it doesn't run all the way smoothly, it stops for a second or two every half minute, and it is really bothering me..

Is there anyway to fix this? or is there a another way to do the job better?

thnx

Thanks Hansr,, but I just solved the problem before reading you post..

For anyone wondering, I simply adjusted the Player Cache level,
using VLC "or MplayerX" Preferences>>Input & Codec>>Cache and I set it to "Higher Latency"..

thnx anyway
