I noticed something fairly consistent with my ibook (g4). After turning the computer on, the first few apps I launch are fairly slow. It doesn't matter if I wait 10 seconds after the desktop shows up or 10 minutes. It's just the first two or three things I launch, it works fine after. Anyone have any idea why?

It's not a hinderence, I'm just curious.

I noticed this on my friend's iBook G4 1.33GHz earlier. I didn't wait 10 minutes to see if they would still start up slow, though. I just opened Safari after the Finder loaded at startup and it took like 5-10 seconds to launch. I'm not used to that. I was thinking it may be normal because of the slow HD in the iBook. I believe it's only 4200RPM.
