I have an iPhone 5s that I recently got swapped out in February for a different reason. Ever since then I've been getting slower lte speeds for att.

In a large area where I used to get 30mbps download I am now getting around 5. I am not throttled.

My sister also has a 5s and we swapped sims and the phone still has the odd behavior.

I've tried restoring the phone and setting network settings. Is the LTE part bad in the phone? Should I set up a Genius Bar appointment? Thanks!

Try a few speed tests at other locations and different times.
Also compare to another LTE iphone speed test at the same spot and time to see what you both get.
Maybe there's lots of traffic or network congestion.
