Anyone else in the DC area experiencing slow data? Particularly the Downtown/White House area? Ever since I got the iPhone4 It's been blazing fast for me. Yes, when I "death grip" it my bars do go down a bit, but never completely down, but my data has always been fast. But today for some reason it's very spotty no matter how I hold it or on the table. Sometimes it's fast, but most of the times webpages are just hanging and then will finally load up.

So just wondering if anyone else in DC having problems.

No problems in Arlington/Alexandria this morning. Probably just the number of tourists downtown, since the 4th is this weekend.

Dunno. I'm getting 0.26 in Friendship Heights (in a spot I usually get about 1.0.)

So it is slower, but I'm far enough up the road that I wouldn't think it's related to what you've got.

I've been getting pretty good speeds in Arlington, but where I work downtown in the L'Enfant plaza area speeds are pretty slow.

Blame the tourists!

yeah it seems to have sorted itself out. speedtest vary from .01 all the way to 3.1. So who knows. But I was able to stream the World Cup game w/o any problems and a very clear screen. Most likely tower congestions as others have said.

thx.

By the way I am in DC and speeds vary. Sometimes they are good sometimes they are not so good.

Judiciary Square and I was having issues this morning as well, but they seem to have cleared up on their own.

Small White Car, I live in Friendship Heights too! Small world.

Live in Arlington and work in DC. No issues whatsoever in Arlington great speeds, but in DC today, specifically down Constitution Ave i was getting very low speeds and falling over to edge.

Yesterday afternoon 3G data was basically non-existent in Rockville. I rebooted my phone and reset my network settings and it didn't help.

I ran the speedtest.net app yesterday and was getting 3kbps (yes, 3kbps) when it would actually work. I just ran it from the same location and now it's over 2000kbps.

Anyone have any comments on how to stream the world cup on the iphone?

I believe you have to download the free World Cup app in the app store and then do an in app purchase for like 7 or 8 bucks to watch live streaming games.

Ahh....
My video is starting to skip now. It's definitely getting slower as the day goes on. You guys are right, must be the tourists.
