Hey everybody, I just wanted to know why is the download rate from apps from the AppStore so slow? Everytime I download an app it takes at least 5 minutes and sometimes even more to download fully.

Ok, I'll try ur recommendations. I'm not using Wi-Fi though...i'm using the connection on my new Verizon iphone 4. Idk if that has anything to do with it.

Thanks for that...these are the results I got:

Ping: 218ms

Download: 0.52Mbps

Upload: 0.28Mbps

Those speeds are about right for Verizon's network in my area.

On AT&T, I just got

Ping: 151ms

Download: 4.2Mbps

Upload: 1.28Mbps

Depending on your location, Verizon usually runs around .5-1.5 Mbps. It can get as high as 3, but I've never seen it

Sounds like you're OK. Maybe try late at night when there's less network congestion.
Verizon has the slowest data speeds of any US carrier (not knocking them, just letting you know)
