Slow Dual Band Airport Extreme?

I just switched out my old Airport Extreme for the new dual band airport extreme since we have a couple of older airport express hooked up to DVRs and iPhones as well as 2 of the newer Apple laptops which support 802.11n. When I had used the 5Ghz only band on the older Extreme, the throughput was 300MBS on each laptop. However, on the new Extreme dual band, it's 130 MBS (previously, it was 54MBS on the 802.11g). Any thoughts?
