Slow Emptying the Trash

Anyone had any issues with emptying the trash taking significantly longer than it had previously?

I'm a new machine, so I can't compare apples to apples, but I've been looking at 'Items to Delete: 23' for 10 minutes.

Is "empty trash securely" turn on? It would take longer time to empty trash if you have it turned on.
