Hi,

My MBP seems fairly slow going to sleep. Ive had it about a month and normally it goes to sleep straight away. However, the last few days it seems to be taking about 15/20 seconds to go to sleep. And when I say go to sleep. The screen goes black, but it takes about 15/20 seconds for the screen and keyboard back lights to go off.

Cheers,
Marc

Before your Mac sleeps, it needs to write data to the hard drive. How much it writes depends on what all you have open at the time you put it to sleep. It's normal.

Sometimes this is caused by a hanging print job. Make sure the queues for all printers are empty.
