I'm experiencing very slow icon display in finder. Some folders and apps will only show as place holders.
Every time after restart or shut down, Mojave is refreshing/redrawing app and folder icons.
Is there any way to fix this problem?
I have also noticed that occasionally after restart or shut down, my mouse pointer is not visible unless I press one of the mouse buttons.
And yet another issue, when in preferences, clicking on "Desktop and Screen saver produces "beach ball"
Any suggestions for these issues?

I have been having the same issue since long time ago. I think macOS just can't render icon too fast.

About the mouse, are you using a bluetooth mouse? If so that is normal.

Beach ball the same. But got better from bata 7.
