I just got a new MBP14 and to my immense surprise, the SSD enclosure which works perfectly on my M1 MBP13 (700MB/s read and write) does not even get recognized by the MBP14. When I use an Apple USB-C cable, it sees the disk but the speed is only 30MB/s read.

Since I have my Time Machine backup in this SSD, I basically can't use it OR I have to do it wirelessly (which is stupid) OR I have to wait 7 hours at the speed I get from the new Macbook.

This is beyond annoying, just thought I'd mention this as nobody reported there is a difference in the USB-C ports of the new macbook compared to even the M1 version.

Connected MBP14 to MBP13 via Apple USB-C cable.
"Current connection: wifi Peer-to-peer"

Basically, the USB-C ports in the new MBP14 suck.
At least that's the message I'm getting here.
