Slow internet on mac while pc is downloading files

I have macbook pro and a desktop pc which is connected to tv.

I have 25mbps comcast connection, and zoom docsis 3.0 wireless modem.

When there is no download on pc, internet connection is just fine on mac.

When I start downloading on pc, mac's internet connection becomes like dead.

What is that about ?

Is there any setting for modem or mac ?

I also have airport express, should I try it ?

Help me on this.

Sounds like your PC is consuming all the bandwidth.

I don't have any other routers other than modem.

How are you connecting two computers to your cable modem. Most only allow a single ethernet connection, or does your cable modem offer wireless as well?

an iptv and vonage is connected via ethernet, and both of them not in use. Pc and mac are connected over wifi.

this modem has 4 ethernet ports + wifi.

I was using same modem with charter internet in california, but there was no problem like this .

I connected airport express and everything is better now
