Slow internet speed

So first and foremost I am a network idiot

What I have noticed that my pc box that I use for gaming seems to get a lot of lag lately. Could this have anything to do with the iMac that is now using a wireless router?

My setup is as follows. Cable modem, netgear mimo? wireless router. The pc is hard wired. The Imac uses the wireless. As the wii in the other room.

If the iMac is using the network for file transfer with the PC or using the internet heavily, then it could cause lag. What is the iMac doing?

Most of the time, just chilling. Maybe the wifey is using yahoo.
