First of im new at posting on these forums, that just because I never had to post because i would usually find my solution with previous posts made on this on this very helpful forum.

That said my problem is the internet is really slow when I connect my macbook to a my samsung 24" monitor. Super slow and when I disconnect, the internet is perfectly fine. I use speedtest.net to measure the speed and with the monitor I get usually around .05 Mbps to 3Mbps, without 12-19Mbps.

Now I've searched this topic and found some people having this same issue but still no solution can anyone help us out, any help would be very much appreciated.

If you need any more details on my problem please post thank you.

Are we talking wireless/ethernet/or both?

It could be possible you are getting interference if you are using wireless. If you are using wireless, is there any way you or a buddy has another computer you can test it with?

Presumably this is a wireless connection...

Are you using the MacBook with the lid closed with the Samsung external screen ?

The wireless antennae go around the MacBook screen so when you close the lid they are far less effective - which would account for the poor speeds with the external connected (and the MacBook screen closed).
