Slow iPhone 4S on 3G Verizon Network

Hello, this is a problem brought up all over the place and in the forums. I have a Verizon iPhone 4S. It is so slow it gets hard to use without throwing it in a ditch. I can have five bars on 3G or using my Wifi at my house an get the same result. You can hardly browse the Internet or watch Netflix or YouTube without it freezing in buffer mode. I hear this same problem from a lot of people. Has anyone figured out what the problem is? By the way, I am running the new IOS 6.
