Anyone getting really slow data speeds lately? I have to flip airplane mode on/off to get back to decent speeds again. But it goes slow again after 15-30 mins.

I mainly notice when streaming pandora, rdio and siriusxm

I'm on Verizon and have unlimited data.

Hmm... I wonder if there is some load leveling happening on your local tower. That's a possibility if you live in a high traffic area

But I notice the issue at my work place and home which is about 15 miles away from each other.

Could be they might be throttling. I'm on unlimited and noticed the speeds dropped ever since they were going to throttle. I used to be in the 20's plus on downloads. Now I average 1-3 on download. Just seems to be too perfect considering they announced their intentions to throttle.

Like mac.cali said you could be the one of the high usage people to get throttled by Verizon's latest policy. I recalled reading some members posting on here where the throttling continued for two months before resetting.

Yea I thought it might be throttling but it doesn't make sense how when I turn on airplane mode it changes my speed back to normal.

Also when I do a speed test it still says my speed is 30mb/s, but it just seems like my data is cutting in and out. I'll take to the apple store tomorrow and see what they say.

Speedtests can vary from minute to minute and foot to foot. Bringing into apple for a diagnosis is a good idea...however are you being impacted or just concerned about your speed?

To answer your question about how are the speeds, in the 50 mile radius of the ny metro area I get ok speeds to blazing.
