Hi all,
I have a 2017 Macbook Pro '15. I normally use it with an external 4K display, however, I have noticed that recently it is becoming unusably slow if connected for some minutes (~10). I am connecting it with an HDMI cable connected to a multiple-port adapter.
I also have a HDMI-to-usbc cable and it doesn't show this issue when connecting the display with this cable.
Does anyone know what might be causing this issue and what potential solutions could be? I've already tried resetting the SMC and also formatting the computer. The obvious fix is to use the hdmi-to-usbc cable, however, I'd rather save that usbc port for other uses.
Thank you!
