Hi - I just got talked into buying a macbook pro duo core 2 - brand new because I do a lot of video editing - I use Adobe Premier Pro and Vegas 6 [pro version] on a pc. I ordered final cut but it isn't here yet so I tried imovie and idvd - well - it took as long to rend transitions and burn to dvd as it does on my pc. I have a gig of ram and 256 display card nvidia. the macbook pro has 2 gig of ram and 256 display. Am I doing something wrong? It takes longer to enlarge my photos too than my pc. Anybody help?

Is the PC also a laptop?
How fast are the internal disk drives?
You're using two different programs, as well.
There's really no answer for this...
Well given what you said it sounds like video RAM and your system RAM aren't the bottleneck, although that all depends on what type of RAM and video card your PC had. There are a lot of places where slowdowns can occur though.
That said, its hard to compare two different programs and two different types of machines given the information you gave.
