slow macbook

hello
my macbook pro is very slow- can barley do anything but internet- its not that old- less then a year...any ideas on how to clean it? mabbe getting rid of cookies?

I had a similar problem with my Powerbook two or so years ago.

Make sure your Trash isn't filled with a lot of things as well. There was a guy who brought his PC into the Apple Store for the "Geniuses" to help diagnose and after a few minutes, they noticed his Trash had a few thousand items in it. After they emptied it, everything came back to normal operating speeds.
