iPod Slow Nano?

Hi there,

I have just purchased my new 4gb iPod Nano. It's very, very pretty and I'm incredibly happy that after 48 hours use it remains unblemished (unlike my 1st gen Nano), however I have noticed one issue:

My previous Nano was easily powerful enough to scroll smoothly, play games well and show scrolling text without any problems - this isn't the case with my new Nano. Is this an issue with my Nano, or is this universal?
