I just bought a MacBook Pro and have added it to my network of computers. MacPro, Windows XP, and now the MBP. The problem is when I connnect the MBP to the MacPro and vice versa, I get a delay of about 60sec. Once connected I can quickly connect to the initial drive I opened. But when I try to connect to another Drive, I get the 60sec. delay again. The connections to the PC is instant in any direction. I have tried both sharing types SMB and AFP and same problem. Of course the Windows computer won't work with AFP. Anybody have a similar experience or suggestions?
