I already noticed something with macOS 10.13 High Sierra and it's been getting worse with each beta using APFS.
I have it running on both my 2012 MacBook Air with 4GB Ram & 128GB SSD and my 2014 Mac Mini with 4GB Ram and 500GB SSD (User Replaced).
Now my Mac mini is faster than ever, works great, very rare do I see the beach ball. Even boots in seconds. But my 2012 MacBook Air on the other hand now takes over 1 minute to boot and is slow doing everything. It takes double the time. I even did a clean install thinking that was the issue and no change. And both devices have 4GB Ram.
So I think 2012 is starting to become the cutoff even though it's still supported. My 2014 Mac mini is working better than ever tho...
