Slow PING times on Mac comparing to Windows

Hello,

I have iMac with Yosemite 10.10.2 with Windows 8.1 as virtual machine in Parallels Desktop 10.1.1. I also have PC laptop with Windows XP.
iMac and PC are both connected with cable to router which is 2 m away. The ping times for iMac are around 30-40 ms, and for PC around 2-3 ms. Why is there such a difference? If I run ping from Windows virtual machine on iMac the ping times are also around 2-3 ms. Download and upload speeds are normal in all three cases. Can I do anything to make ping times faster on Yosemite?
