Slow playback on macports mplayer

i have compiled mplayer with macports (sudo install macports)

When i play a FullHD video (mplayer -vo Coreplayer <Videoname>) i get a to slow playback. The same video run well with VLC 2.0.10.

What is wrong? Compiled wrong? Settings wrong? Playback worse than VLC?

Have you tried the one in the SMTube package (on here) - it should be the same as yours and I've never had any problems with it, however I never pass vo instructions to it like you have.
If you're doing this on a multicore G5 it might be an idea to add multithreading parameters too - VLC 2 does that automatically.
