"Slow" response from keyboard or trackpad after idling for a couple of seconds

So if I don't touch my keyboard for like 5 seconds, the first keypress wil be about .5 secs later then it should be. This is pretty annoying when trying to record in Ableton. Is anyone noticing this and does anyone have a solution?

I'm using the aluminum Macbook Pro with i7 so performance is not the issue.

I'm guessing this is some kind of power management thing but I'd like an potion to turn it off.. Anyone got a clue?
