Slow Safari on new Air 13"

Browser stalls every minute, with the rainbow ball showing up for up to 10 seconds...

Chrome works like a charm in comparison.

Anyone else having difficulties with Safari and Lion?

I have no such problems with my safari, no rainbows or anything, mine is very quick. It is 10x as fast as IE was on my old computer.

my safari does the same sometimes. for certain websites it freezes every a few seconds. maybe just because it's so bad at running flash scripts.

That's odd. No slowdowns at all using Safari 5.1 on a new 13" Air. I was a Chrome user on my PC, but switched to Safari for my Mac because of the Lion enhancements.
