Slow safari search / address field

I have the latest update of osx 10.11.1 and on r rma 12".

Its a fresh install and when i click on the URL field/search field, the app hangs 1-3 secs, flashes the beachball.

Already tried restart the macbook and clearing the history.

anyone has any similar issues and fixes?
