Slow Server Write performance with Rhino / Parallels? Help!

Hello,

I have a mac mini server running osx 10.6.8. When I am running Rhino (a 3d modeling software) through parallels on my desktop and save to the server, the save takes about 10 times as long as it should.

From what I can tell, it has to do with saves from Rhino specifically...
-I saved from Parallels desktop to the server and it did so fine
-I reinstalled Parallels tools
-I restarted the Parallels machine and OSX
-I unplugged and replugged in my ethernet cable

What else would be slowing down save behavior from Rhino/Parallels to an OSX Server?
