Slow SMS app iOS 5.1.1

I seem to be having a lot of bother with my SMS app lately. It seems very very slow to open and at times the messages don't send at all. Have the 4S. Wondering if anyone knows anything that can be done

Happening to me too. I thought it was the network at the place I'm staying blocking some ports, but 3G isn't working much better
