My late 2013 MacBook Pro always used to startup very quickly until I updated the OS to High Sierra. Since then I find that the startup time has increased considerably. After entering my password the progress bar moves along and then stops at around 80%. There is then a long pause, after which the screen switches to black with the cursor and progress bar only and then startup continues. Has anyone else experienced this behaviour and/or know of a fix.

Yes experienced on High Sierra 10.13.0 and 10.13.1 running iMac circa late 2012 with Nvidia GT 640M video card. Once upgrading to High Sierra 10.13.2 boot up time much better and none of that "wink to black and back again" is gone
