I work in a small computer lab where we just upgraded a lot of our Mac Pros to Snow Leopard. We have a combination of 2008/2009 models but one thing has been intermittent on both installations. Some of the computers are experiencing slow startup, with a lag on the grey and/or blue screen. Also, after startup, some of the machines cannot have files/folders selected. You can move the mouse around, but not actually click on anything.
I've tried many different solutions, such as Snow Leopard Cache Cleaner and its utilities, SMC reset, unplugging various combinations of peripherals and then starting up -- but nothing seems to fix it. I am at a loss for what could be causing this. I have had some luck with booting in safe mode but it doesn't fix the problem 100% of the time.
Any ideas? I appreciate the help.
