iPod touch Slow Sync: 32 gb 2nd gen ipod touch in Win XP

Anyone else having this issue? I'm coming from a 5th gen ipod (video) which sync'd very quickly. This seem very slow...

SW version 2.1.1, itunes 8, no USB hub

Are you plugged into a usb 2.0 port or 1.0.... The ITouch also uses flash memory not a hard drive. They are supposed to write faster, but I dont see it.

My Ipod Touch has always, always been slower to sync than my 80gb ipod video, nothing you can do really
