iPod touch slow syncing

Just got my touch this morning and have been syncing it for over the last hour. Im only adding music as of now, about 2,200 songs. For as long as its been going only 900 are complete. Im syncing thru the iPod universal dock. Does flash memory just sync slower than a HDD or could the dock be slowing the process?

it must be that slow when adding songs by " manually " . Better way is prepare ur songs in itunes library then let it sync automatically

Thing is i sync only specified playlists, how can i set this up better to do an auto sync? Should I add the playlists i want to somewhere in iTunes to speed up this process. Its painful that i cant play!
