I'm using a new Mac Pro hooked up to my Airport Extreme base station by Ethernet which is connected to a usb disk. Prior to the Mac Pro (Running 10.5.2) I had an iMac connected via wireless. With the iMac I would transfer to the disk at nearly 1 MB/sec. I expected speed via ethernet to be higher than wireless, but I am only seeing 50 KB/sec upload to my disk! What gives for this slow ethernet transfer?

Note: I have observed this in all versions of the Airport Extreme firmware, and am currently running the latest firmware.

Edit:
I should also add that unplugging my ethernet cable and using wireless on the Mac Pro gives me 1.5MB/s upload. I am still puzzled by the super slow ethernet transfer though.
