Does anyone have a solution to this

I have the m1 iPad Pro and the m1 MacBook Pro

I have gigabit fibre at home.

The Speedtest on the router comes in at 960mb/sec

Over wifi 6 (with HomePods disconnected which i discuss in another thread) I get a constant 930mb/sec

Ok so I bought the Belkin USB c to Ethernet converter

The Speedtest app only gives me a maximum of 700mb/sec. At very random times I get full 900+mb/sec but 99% of times it slow and painful

So I open safari and do a Speedtest to the same local servers as the app and I get 900+Mb /sec but anything with higher latency than local gets less than 100mb/sec

Downloads are painfully slow

In advance network settings it’s set to 1000 and full duplex.

I’ve changed router, cable and dongle and it’s the exact same on both devices

What gives?

I disconnect the cable and go back to wifi and it’s a 930mb/sec full speed to the same higher latency sites via browser and app
