Hello there,

I have been using DDS Player for Mac with my Olympus DS-2000 digital voice recorder for about a year. It used to work just great. Recently, it has been getting slower and slower, to the point where it now takes 12 minutes to copy a 2 minute long file from DDS Player to my desktop. I tried turning off all other programs. I tried reinstalling the program and it didn't help at all. I am running OSX 10.2 on a G3 iBook.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I figured it out. I tried simply shutting down OSX and restarting. I haven't needed to do that in a few months as I just tend to put the laptop to sleep by closing the lid. The start-up look longer than usual, but now the program works fine. As an added bonus, all of the other programs are just a little "zippier". I guess I learned that you need to restart OSX every once in a while....but you guys propably already knew that.

Does anyone know why your performance would slow down if you don't shut-down regularly?
