By this way I have got on you very big request. I am so sad of following situation.

I bought a new macbook air 11 2012 on 17.8.2012. After that I wen to holiday for 2weeks. When I came back I found out that one key on the keyboard is broken. I called to seller where I bought it an tried to convince them to refund my macbook air for the new one. The did not agree and told me that I should take it to apple service. I did not want to bring it to repair department. But I had no choice. I knew it I did not do it.

After 3 days they changed whole keyboard case for the new one. Today I brang my air to home and tried to connect to internet as usual with wifi. It connected but the speed is so poor. I tried it by my friend and in free wifi restaurant in our town- the result the speed of connection is too poor:( What can I gonna do? I tought they only changed the keyboard. But it seems there is new problem. Is there any solution how can I fixe it at home? just some settings could be help? format? recovery? I tried command + alt + p + r on start up. but did not help.

Please. Give me an advice:( I am totally sad of apple services…

thank you very much.

Hold down alt and click on the wifi icon and post a screenshot of what you see.

True, they may have only changed the keyboard, but are you aware how tiny the wifi antenna wires are to begin with? I used to repair Dell laptops and it was a challenge to make sure they were plugged in to the network card on the system board. And these laptops were huge compared to the Air.

What am I saying? Odds are the wires are either crimped or not seated properly. I hate to say it, but you might end up having t bring to back to Apple. If it is your only computer, I would mention that as well, you might be lucky enough to get an on site replacement.

How have you been measuring wifi performance? Is it just subjectively based on feel?

What the other poster said may be true, but according to the screenshot, there is nothing wrong with your reception or wifi performance. It's working as expected on a wireless G router. How are away are you from the router when you took the screenshot?

nice. just briefly. have I got any opportunity to get the new one air? a raplacement for the new one? I have not used it many times. it is new notebook. i cannot believe it. now i am goning to abroad and need my air with me. only one solution for me at this time is replacement. is it possible?

how away from router i was during taking screenshots? 3meters i guess

if i want be successful with replacement, which reason should i mention? broken wifi or bad replacement of keyboard?

I wont get to the apple in my country. I am going to holland for longer stay. what do you think. is here some chance to replacement? i bought it in august 2012 in czech republic

what is really strange is when I try to connect to internet via my macbook the connection is going to poor speed on my mobile as well. When I turn off wifi on my mac the connection to internet is again back in my phone... I don t understand to it...

Well the signal strength in the screen shot is spot on then. Have you tried restarting your router? That often fixes many odd issues with wifi routers. Unplug it, wait for about 10 seconds and plug it in again. If that does not help, then you should go back to Apple. I would mention both problems and what has happened to the wifi performance since the keyboard replacement.

What do you think about erasing hdd? Could it solve by this way?

And I still do not understand when I try to connect to internet the other users using same router has got problem to connect. When I am going to off the other users are without any problem and can use internet with full speed.

Do you still think about that problem could be in my wifi? May be the recovery could help...

I would start with restarting your router. I doubt that reinstalling the operating system would fix this, but I've seen stranger things before. The best thing to do would be to restart the router and make sure it's working fine. Then I would take the MBA back to Apple, if the problem persists.

I have already tried to reset router- any change. I am so sad with services with apple. I have buying an apple such from that reason as well. When it broken just in case of excellent waranty service:( but it seems it is like a other:(

How I got any solution to get some money back? I have got a long journey to the nearest apple service department. Should I request some money refund? Only the journey cost me a lot of money... I am still student and for me is so expensive... On the other hand I am going to abroad in friday. Only one solutuion here is to replace whole notebook for the new one. I bought it in 17.8.2012. It is complete new notebook. I would lke to have the new ONE!!!! is it possible? It is not my mistake- the broken keyboard and broken wifi!!!!!!

so sad...

Take it back and tell them what you find. Let them do their jobs.
