12 hours or so in (pro standard pro 512gb) and what is jumping out so far is how slow WiFi seems to be on this thing. Everything just seems to take an age.

Anybody else seeing this?

How is your cellular reception? What carrier do you use, and what phone are you moving from?

12 hours in but possibly its still background syncing from iCloud-- photos, music, etc., stored on the iPhone?

4g seems fine so far. Just slow on WiFi.

Could be background processes I guess.

Wi-Fi is slightly slower on my 11 pro max than my iPhone X. (Using 802.11ac in the same room as the AP)

I am really noticing it on music, it is taking an age to download my tracks, likewise last night it took well over an hour to download all of my apps.

I have Amazon music HD as well as Apple Music and just tried to download a playlist, currently at around 4-5 minutes per song!!!

Seems to be the same speed here, just checked with a Speedtest to confirm. It could be servers were slammed yesterday and affected app downloads and other background downloads.

I’m not seeing speed issues but WiFi on my Pro Max will not automatically connect to ANY network. I have to go in manually and tell it to. Going back to the Apple store on Monday if I cannot figure out a software fix.

Sounds like the same issues I had with my XS Max this past year. Wifi is either really slow or it stalls out and I would have to toggle Wifi off then back on. Funny that both of my kids iPad mini's never dropped wifi.

Got rid of the Max and purchased an original X and haven't had one drop or stall out on wifi. Expect to get the same answers from Apple like I did a year ago.

No issues here 3CEC1260-D8F1-4C30-AA94-C39D0AC5D60B.png

The cellular reception on my iPhone Pro is incredibly good. Much better than my iPhone 8.

WiFi is also mega fast. I’m blown away.

Nope WiFi on the pro max is exactly the same as my old XS max on my AC router. Would love to try a WiFi 6 access point at some point!

I have the same issue on WiFi as my XS Max did on my new 11Pro. The phone cannot hold onto WiFi signal like my pixel 3a. Big difference. If it wasn’t for my extender in my house, I’d be pissed.

Your upload speeds are really good. What router are you using?

It’s a custom pfsense box. Its a symmetric gigabit fibre to home service from hyperoptic, but the iPhone is not able to max out its capacity unfortunately :)

I’ll test mine in my new house late next week. We have synchronous AT&T gigabit fiber there and my router I have now is wifi6
