I am running the latest version of iMovie on a 15" 2012 rMBP. Whenever I apply "Auto-Stabilization" to a clip, it takes an extremely long time to apply the effect. I currently have a 2 minute clip (shot on iPhone 5) that has taken about 7 minutes to auto-stabilize. Also, in Activity Monitor, iMovie was using almost no CPU power and only surged once or twice during the process (yes, it might use the GPU for this type of effect, but I cant tell how much the GPU is being used) Is this some sort of software bug, or is it just normal performance for a rMBP.
