Slower Game Center

Why is the game center really really significantly faster on Mountain Lion than on iOS despite the same internet connection?

On iPhone it always takes hour to load the leaderboards and achievements... (Not literally, but it's really slow)

Maybe it's your iPhone? I just tried it on my iPhone and my iPad and it was pretty much instant.

Not really it's the same on my iPad.
