Slower SD slot speed on 2015 rMBP

I have a card that reads at 95Mb/s and writes at 90Mb/s. When I do the diskspeed test it maxs out at 80Mb/s on the card? Do I need to buy a usb 3.0 adapter for a sd slot??

No it's rare that you will get those max benchmark speeds in everyday use 10MB/s isn't going to make much difference and 80MB/sec is better than most SD cards get also a USB 3.0 SD card adapter might be worse....
