iPhone XR Slower WiFi compared to a 7

I didn't really think I'd see such a huge difference but for some reason the difference that you see in the album below is consistent. I have used the ookla app with the same server to test and more often than not the 7 is much faster than the XR.

The speeds of my XR and wife's 11 are almost on par though. What gives? I mean for some servers the XR hits close to 50mbps so it can't really be the chip limitation. Does anyone know what exactly is causing the download speeds to be slower on the XR/11 compared to the 7?

The VPN you see on 7 is AdGuard Pro. Also installed on XR and 11.

Is it the same server as well? For me it varies greatly when I manually connect to a different server - maybe one phone prefers one server and the other phone another?

Yeah I have tried with same servers as well. Same issue. Not really sure what's going on. I have reset the phone via a clean DFU restore as well.

oh wow I found that turning off bluetooth on my XR causes the speeds to skyrocket! I am not really sure why that's the case!
