Slower WiFi on Apple TV since upgrade to 13

I checked the speed after upgrade and it has dropped by 1/2. I’ve rebooted modem and apple tv. i checked the speed on my iMac and it is at full speed. could the upgrade have downgraded the apple tv’s wifi?

This is not an “upgrade” you installed a beta. I would not expect performance like a normal release.

I was looking in the set up area to see what my connection strength was with the Beta and see that they removed the "Signal Strength Dots". I used those to see how well my WiFi was working in the area of the house. Now they are gone. I wonder why? And would guess TS is going to ask someone "Well how many "Signal Strength Dots" do you have?" User: "None." TS: "Well there's your problem." User: "You took them out and they aren't there anymore to trouble shoot."

I still have the signal strength dots on my TV running the beta.

Might be the beta. There have been a number of people reporting issues with WiFi.

Beta meaning you are helping to test the software. Also means it is unrefined. Not meant to be used as a “daily driver “
