I have 60Mbps download speed and when I do a speed test on my iPad Air 2, I get near that speed, but on my iPhone 6 Plus, I max out at 30-34Mbps. All my other devices can reach the highest speed but my iPhone. Using 5GHz signal with my Airport Express. Has been like this since iOS 8 when the phone launched last year. iOS 9 has made no difference. Any idea why my iPhone can't hit 60Mbps? I saw during the keynote for the 6S, that it's wifi is twice as fast as the 6 and can hit like 500+Mbps.

Do you still have a 2.4 network running? It could be choosing that one.

For reference, I have gigabit Internet and my 6 plus usually tops out at 240 mb/s on 5ghz.

While wireless N should be capable, it could be that your iPhone only supports wireless N, where as your iPad Air 2 supports wireless AC. Just a thought

Wifi speeds to Airport Express as follows.

iPad Air about 150-200 mb/s
iPad Air 2 about 350-420 mb/s
iPhone 6 Plus 150-320 mb/s

These are wifi speeds using wifi sweet spots app

Internet connection for all devices varies between 80-120 mb/s with Comcast cable using my own modem.

I do have a 2.4GHz network running (which when I'm on that is extremely slow due to heavy saturation of networks around me). I have a separate SSID for my 5GHz network. iPad Air 2 is on that also, but hits my max speed.
