Slower wifi speed with phone in landscape

I've noticed this several places I go. When the phone is held in landscape there is at least one less bar of wifi signal strength. It seems the download speeds are slower too. Am I nuts?

Is your phone in a case? Maybe antennagate again?

Does it happen in both landscape modes? IE rotating the phone left and rotating the phone right, you could just be covering up the antenna.

Yup, happens in both directions. Have a case on. Hold it with fingertips when doing these experiments. Had a knee replacement a year ago so I put too much time into my experiments!
